Trait Catalog & Rarity
Each alien is defined by 10 traits, generated from a deterministic seed derived from the token ID. No randomness from block data — your alien is fixed the moment it's assigned a token number.

How It Works
✓
Contract Deployed
AlienForge + SvgLib deployed to Ethereum Mainnet. Fully immutable — no proxy, no admin upgrade path.
→
Public Mint Open
3,333 free tokens (1 per wallet) + 1,111 paid at 0.0005 ETH. Both pools are independent. Bot protection (block cap of 50) applies during free phase only.
3
Artwork Generated On-Chain
Your alien's traits and 24×24 SVG are generated entirely from your token ID using a deterministic seed algorithm. The image and metadata are stored directly in the contract — permanent and immutable.
4
Trading Unlocks at Sellout
Marketplace approvals are blocked during the mint phase. Trading auto-activates the moment the 4,444th token is minted. No manual action needed.
5
Community & Secondary Market
Full EIP-2981 royalty support (5%) on all secondary sales. Holder community, rarity tools, and future initiatives planned post-sellout.
Fully On-Chain Technology
Alien Forge uses a custom Solidity library SvgLib deployed as a separate contract and linked via delegatecall. This keeps AlienForge under Ethereum's 24,576-byte contract size limit while keeping all rendering logic fully on-chain.

FAQ
How many can I mint per transaction?▶
There is no per-wallet limit on paid tokens. During the free phase a block cap of 50 total mints (across all wallets) applies per Ethereum block (~12 seconds). This is lifted permanently once all 3,333 free tokens are claimed. Each wallet can only claim 1 free token ever.
Do I need ETH to get a free token?▶
You need a small amount of ETH to cover gas fees, but the mint price itself is 0 ETH for your first token. If you're minting only 1 token and haven't claimed your free one yet, you'll only pay gas. Gas costs vary — check current gas prices on Etherscan's gas tracker.
What is the block cap and why does it exist?▶
The block cap (50 mints per block) is a bot protection mechanism. Bots often try to mint hundreds of tokens in a single transaction during a free mint event. By limiting total mints per Ethereum block, the contract ensures fairer distribution. The cap is automatically lifted once all free tokens are claimed — at that point, only paid minting remains and there's no bot incentive.
Why can't I sell or transfer immediately after minting?▶
The contract blocks approve and setApprovalForAll calls during the mint phase. These are the functions marketplaces (OpenSea, Blur, etc.) use to get transfer rights over your tokens. This prevents listings from being created before the full collection is minted. You can still revoke existing approvals at any time. Trading auto-unlocks at full sellout, or the team can enable it earlier.
Is the artwork truly permanent?▶
Yes. The tokenURI function generates the entire SVG image and JSON metadata from the token ID using a deterministic algorithm inside the contract. There is no IPFS CID, no centralized server, no S3 bucket. As long as Ethereum exists, your alien's image and metadata can be regenerated from its ID alone.
How are traits determined? Can I influence them?▶
Traits are determined entirely from the token ID using a linear congruential generator seeded with the ID, then fed into keccak256 for each trait selection. You cannot influence traits — they are fixed by token number. Token #1 will always have the same traits regardless of who mints it or when. The previews on this page use the exact same algorithm as the contract.
What wallet do I need?▶
Any EIP-1193 compatible wallet works: MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, Trust Wallet (via WalletConnect), etc. Make sure it's connected to Ethereum Mainnet. The site will detect the wrong network and prompt you to switch.
Where does the mint revenue go?▶
All ETH from paid mints is held in the contract and can be withdrawn to the hardcoded team address (0x1e2537…4ba6) by the owner or team. Secondary sale royalties (5%) are also directed to that address via EIP-2981. The team address is set at deployment and cannot be changed.
What happens at full sellout?▶
The moment the 4,444th token is minted, the contract automatically executes tradingActive = true. From that point all transfers and marketplace approvals are unlocked. No manual action from the team is required — it's fully automated in the contract.
Can I preview my token before minting?▶
The preview aliens shown at the top of this page (tokens #1, #42, #137, #512, #999) are generated using the exact same algorithm as the on-chain SvgLib contract — ported faithfully to JavaScript, including the HSL color system, weighted trait selection, and all body/face/limb drawing routines. What you see is exactly what the contract produces.
